The raw material of carbon steel pipe is round tube blank, which needs to be cut by a cutting machine to form a blank of about 1 meter in length, and then sent to the furnace for heating through a conveyor belt. The blank is sent to the furnace for heating, and the temperature is about 1200 degrees Celsius. The fuel is hydrogen or acetylene. Temperature control in the furnace is a crucial issue. After the round tube blank comes out of the furnace, it needs to be perforated by a pressure piercing machine.

The commonly used piercing machine is a tapered roller piercing machine, which has high production efficiency, good product quality, large perforation and expansion capacity, and can perforate a variety of steel types. After perforation, the round tube billet is rolled by three rollers in sequence, continuously rolled or extruded, and needs to be removed from the tube for sizing after extrusion. The sizing machine uses a conical drill bit to rotate at high speed to insert the steel billet for drilling to form a steel pipe.

The inner diameter of the steel pipe is determined by the outer diameter length of the sizing machine drill bit. After sizing, the steel pipe enters the cooling tower and is cooled by spraying water. After cooling, the steel pipe needs to be straightened. The straightened steel pipe is transported by a conveyor belt to a metal detector (or water pressure test) for internal inspection. If there are cracks, bubbles, etc. inside the steel pipe, they will be detected. After the quality inspection, the steel pipe needs to be strictly hand-selected. After the quality inspection, the steel pipe is sprayed with paint with numbers, specifications, production batch numbers, etc. and hoisted into the warehouse by a crane.
