Ductile iron is an alloy of iron, carbon and silicon, and is a kind of cast iron. Ductile iron graphite is present in the form of spheres, the general size of the graphite is 6-7 levels, the quality of the casting pipe spheroidization level control for 1-3 levels (spheroidization rate ≥ 80%), so the mechanical properties of the material itself has been better improved, with the nature of iron, steel performance. Centrifugal ductile iron pipe after annealing, its metallurgical organization for ferrite plus a small amount of pearlite, small diameter pearlite proportion is generally not more than 20%, large diameter is generally controlled at 25% or so, the mechanical properties are optimized again, with high strength, good toughness, and at the same time, has excellent compression resistance and ductility.

 
Ductile iron pipe product categories are divided into: water supply pipe, drainage pipe and heat pipe. The varieties include polyurethane lined pipe, epoxy resin lined pipe, epoxy ceramic lined pipe, PE lined pipe, zinc-aluminum alloy pipe, jacking pipe, drag pipe, self-anchored pipe, sewage pipe and so on.
There are many kinds of interface forms such as T-type, GT-type, self-anchored type, etc. The lining of pipe adopts cement mortar, polyurethane, PE, epoxy ceramics, etc. to meet the requirements of different water quality transportation. Zinc spraying, zinc-aluminum alloy, polyurethane, PE and other external anti-corrosion treatment technology is suitable for different corrosive soil environmental conditions, is the ideal pipe for urban water supply and heating.
